INAUGURAL AUCTION EVENT FOR JOHN DEERE COLLECTORS CENTER

artwork

This beautiful artwork symbolizes what the Collectors Center will become when finished. Fashioned after a 1950s dealership, the Center will be a popular destination for people who "bleed green."

This old building will eventually become the headquarters for John Deere Collectors. The Moline riverfront location will be transformed into a special Collectors Center by May 2001.

This dilapidated building will soon undergo a transformation as it will become the new John Deere Collectors Center.

 Friday auction

The Friday night (August 11th) auction of memorabilia & collectibles was well attended despite hot & humid conditions.

It was standing room only at Friday night's memorabilia auction. Except for these bicycles in the foreground, most items were on a bale rack in the center of the floor. It was engulfed by a sea of collectors from 4 pm until around 9 pm!

 Saturday auction

Saturday's tractor auction sent 150 antiques to new homes. Crowds of collectors observed the parade of tractors and bidding wars.
